so… that was an interesting drive. In the 6 hours we spent in Oregon, we saw sun, rain (lots of rain), freezing rain, hail, and snow. This would normally be fine, but usually we saw all five of those things within 15 minutes. It was some of the strangest weather I’ve seen. Well I’m glad we started early so that I could hit the Siskiyou pass in daylight, as it was kind of hairy.
So we’re in Redding tonight. Very average hotel. Barely room for the five of us in here, but hey it’s just one night. Girls had fun in the pool, and we had some great pizza from a local mom-and-pop place.
Kids are doing OK in the car, so here’s hoping tomorrow goes as well.
