Six weeks since we’ve been back and I still haven’t posted pictures! That’s an idea how chaotic life is at the moment and why we need another holiday soon 😆 Mabel desperately needed some sun and insisted that this be the kick-back-do-nothing type of holiday, so flights to Faro were the cheapest way to get 25-degree weather. Also, we thought it’d be great to see Portugal since Fiona’s boyfriend Mauro comes from there!
We stayed in Vilamoura, a coastal golf resort town, where our hotel was one street away from the bustling marina of restaurants and shops. We did as little as possible, and ate as well as we could, and I think had two massages each.
Most of the pics are of a boat tour we took toward the end.
I took a six-mile walk along one of the most pleasant beaches ever…
And here’s the boat ride along the Algarve coast to Benagli Cave, probably the most famous of the sea caves in Portugal with its unique “skylight” on a massive cave with two entrances.
